Looking for a competitive kids’ swimming school around Berkeley

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for a competitive swimming program for my 4-year-old son.

He’s been swimming since he was 4 months old, and at his previous school in Japan he was learning proper form — for example, he could do a flutter kick with a kickboard for 25 meters. We recently moved here, and his current school feels more recreational and less focused on technique.

I’d love to find a program that emphasizes proper form and early competitive skills rather than just playtime in the water. Does anyone know of good swim schools, clubs, or instructors in/around Berkeley that cater to young kids with a more structured, skill-based approach?
