Interior Design Recommendations
We are doing a house remodel and could use help with determining colors and how to design our open concept space. I'd love to find someone who is not afraid to use color and create a space that feels unique and special. I'd love suggestions of people in the area we could work with. Thanks!

Not sure on your price range, but my friend (and designer for the home we are remodeling) lives in Berkeley and is a fantastic designer. She loves color and has a great eye. Check out Banner Day Interiors (Bannerdaysf.com and @bannerdayinteriors on IG).
I really loved working with Dede Tave. https://www.tavedesignstudio.com/ She lives near Berkeley and knows the area so well. She came in person to get to know our space, made project management easy with the online system she uses, and was really understanding of our style and also our budget when it came to her recommendations. I feel like she really listened and also added her own suggestions that were different from what I had thought I wanted and I really loved her vision and her input. I really cannot recommend her enough. I also thought her prices were very reasonable and she worked quickly.
We used Yumi Interior Design to consult for our own kitchen and bath renovation. https://www.yumiinteriors.com. Kyoko Jackson has a great sense for color and is not afraid to use it. She's very receptive to our ideas and was fantastic to work with.
Hello! We have recently used Taylor Blue Designs in Berkeley and we had a great experience. She came to our home and was very helpful and mindful of our budget. I highly recommend her services. She has a great eye for color and is very well-versed and experienced.
I recently worked with Megan Warren (https://www.meganwarrendesign.com) and I highly recommend her. I needed advice on how to redesign a useless space in my house. She offered a one time consult fee where she came and drew up a possible floor plan, then sent me links to furniture I could buy (on my own). I emailed her to follow up on some furniture ideas and she was responsive and didn’t charge me extra. In the past I have also consulted with her on paint color. She was pleasant and easy to work with.
