In-home daycares that accept infants? (starting 4-6 months)
Hi BPN!
We're due this summer and are looking into infant daycare options. Some criteria:
- Location: North Oakland (e.g., Rockridge, Temescal, Piedmont, Lake Merritt areas)
- Coverage: Coverage: We would need full-time care (at least 8:30am to 5pm, M-F)
- Age: Able to accept babies as early as 4-6 months
- Type: We would prefer a smaller in-home daycare environment rather than a larger center.

I've sent my kids to both of these places and know they can accept infants:
Azam's daycare (right off of Trestle Glen a block from Lakeshore ave) - proper in-home daycare with most kids leaving >3 to go to preschool. 14 kids max (I think).
Leigh's House: in-house preschool that takes all ages (babies thru pre-school)- maxes out at a similar size as Azam's. My older daughter is there now and will be heading to K in the fall. Leigh's house is in Piedmont.

My daughter loved going to June Baby Daycare in Emeryville (right next to North Oakland border). Run by a loving couple, they looked after my little one from age 6mo until she was a toddler and moved into a bigger daycare. She loved going there and they gave her such good care, holding her for bottles, reading to her, patting her back for naps. Highly recommend! Eli and Marz are the best. https://www.junebabydaycare.com
