Fourth Grade CA History Field Trip Ideas

Looking for recent experiences with good (educational, plus nice destination) study trips for fourth graders studying CA history, for a group of about 60 kids plus teachers & parents. Thanks!

Wells Fargo Gold Rush museum in San Francisco, CA Railway museum in old Sacramento, Sutter's Mill in Coloma. Mission Delores, Mission San Jose, there's tons, just google it. It's "history," most of the popular spots have been the same for decades!

Fort Point in SF, below the GG Bridge.  Fort Ross in Sonoma County.

In addition to the great suggestions below (Wells Fargo, railroad museum, etc.), my kids as fourth graders visited the historic ships at the Hyde Street Pier (a little later than the Gold Rush era, but similar) and Peralta Hacienda in Oakland, and took an overnight trip to Columbia (http://www.visitcolumbiacalifornia.com/).

Oakland museum of course.

Sutter's Fort in Sacramento.
