Financial advisor for UC employee?

I am a UC employee, recently divorced, and I'd like to get my financial house in order. I'm seeking recommendations for financial advisors who are (1) familiar with the benefits and options provided by UC, and (2) will not shame me for not having dealt with this for such a long time. Seriously, the shame is real -- I've put this off for years for fear of being yelled at, and I don't need someone making me feel worse than I already make myself feel about it. I know that Fidelity has some adivising services for UC employees, but I'm having a hard time figuring out even how to deal with that, and so need some external help.

Nini Yang (408-464-7563). She’s done my stuff and has helped a few UC Berkeley profs sort out their numbers. HIGHLY recommend and there’s NO judgment! She starts where YOU are and moved forward.

I too am a UC employee.  I would strongly recommend you start with Fidelity.  They are free, and I have found them to be very helpful.  If nothing else, they could give you some very basic explanations of what benefits you have and what you may want to engage a financial advisor for.
