East bay piano store

We are about to replace our daughter's keyboard with a real acoustic piano, and are seeking recommendations for a store with reasonable price ranges, good selection, and non-pushy salespeople. Willing to go to any really good store in the bay area, but prefer east bay.

DC pianos on San Pablo are wonderful. Really friendly and approachable, and offer trade-in for acoustic pianos for up to ten years.

We had a good experience with Kassman on Gilman.  You should definitely negotiate the price.

Enjoy!

D C Piano Company is great!  Store is sort of funky, in a quirky, fun way.  We bought an old, but very good used piano that was inexpensive.  We didn't want to make a huge investment not knowing if music was going to be a long term passion.  Turns out it was, and 9 years later we bought a new piano there.......here's the good part:  We spent about $2,200.00 on the first piano, used it every day for 9 years, and they still gave us the full $2,200 credit for trade-in on the new piano.  As far as I know this trade-in policy is still in place.  It is family owned; really nice people; no pushy sales tactics.  We went in, picked out a few we liked, and for the cost of a lesson, my daughter's piano teacher was willing to go check them out, and make recommendations both times.  Glad to hear your daughter is into music!  My daughter is in college, now, and she still plays and takes lessons.
