CoolSculpting for tummy fat?

Has anyone had a CoolSculpting procedure done? If so, where and by whom? What was the procedure itself like? Was there much pain/discomfort involved the day-of, or in the days afterwards? How happy are/were you with the results? Has the fat in the treated area stayed away--especially curious to hear from women who have gone through Menopause; did the Change cause the fat to return?

My whole life I have had a very troublesome tummy, but it became significantly worse after baby #2. When pinching my belly together with my hands, I have 2.5" of fat, which is disproportionate to the rest of my body. I eat well, do low-impact exercise, am very active, and yet, the belly is happy staying where it is: a pouch. A Kaiser plastic surgeon said I could either go the tummy-tuck or coolsculpting route. Since it is non-invasive, I'm definitely leaning towards coolsculpting, but want to hear about others experiences--particularly women who used it for their abdomen.

Thank you!

Go see Dr Elizabeth Lee in Lafayette. She’s amazing! Her phone number is 925-299-1985.Shes a Board certified surgeon, butt also does cool sculpting and laser treatments. Please tell her I recommended you!!

I can tell you from experience that Liposuction is the way to go. The results are massive. You may end up just a bit lumpy, but CoolSculpt (and there are even better things out there) could minimize lumps, if you get any. CoolSculpt and similar treatments render very minimal results.

I got rid of some menopausal fat with Lipo, and have not looked back. My tummy is 100% flat.

Before cool-sculpting, I would try cutting out all bread for a couple months. Try to limit yourself to one serving of grain a day, and make it a nutritious one like rice, oatmeal, polenta etc. (there is a reason farmers feed their livestock grain to fatten them up before killing them). Eat lots of vegetables, good-quality protein, and good-quality oils (olive, coconut) etc.

I lost 20 lbs doing this and five years later it has not come back. My energy is better too, especially when I cut out sugar (which I cycle in and out of - it is hard!) Good luck.

I had coolsculpting done on my double chin. They recommended two treatments, but I had only one done. I did not see any fat reduction. There was minimal pain during the treatment. The days/weeks after the treatment was the worst part of the entire experience. It wasn't a constant pain, just one that would occur periodically, like when you would sneeze, or somehow tense your muscles involuntarily around the area. For example, riding BART was excruciating, since you never know when the train will brake, and your body adjusts to the motion. I'm pretty sure that celebrities do a lot of coolsculpting to sculpt their bodies to look the way they want it (hourglass figures like the Kardashians). I probably would not do it again. I also have a troublesome tummy and have enrolled in bar method barre classes, which has improved my posture and reduced my belly fat.  Good luck with whatever route you choose!

I had CoolSculpting done at Blackhawk Plastic Surgery and I love my results. Really helped with the tummy pouch.
