Coop for younger than 3 years in Albany/EC/Berkeley?

We’re considering a coop school, but most in the area I’ve seen start at 3 years and I’d love to do something similar starting at 18M or 24M.

Any recommendations for a coop that starts younger? Thank you!

Skytown preschool coop starts at 18months. Slightly out of your area off the Solano ave exit just past Albany. Nancy, the toddler room teacher is a GEM. She taught me so much about parenting with my first kid and was equally awesome with my second.

Hey, we're at Skytown coop preschool, which has been great! They have a toddler room starting at 18 months and preschool room starting at 2.5/3yrs old. Such a nurturing, loving environment, we have loved it for our two kids. It's in Richmond Heights, near the El Cerrito border

If the co-ops you're considering are like the one our kids went to (ECPC) the 3-year-old starting age is for developmental reasons: the kids' day is going to be largely self-directed, and although adults will be present they won't be directing the interactions between the kids. Having an age span from 18 months to almost 5 years old without adults actively involved sounds like a bummer for the 18-month-olds!  We loved ECPC and feel that the philosophy there supported our kids' development well so it was worth waiting that extra year. The starting age was 2.5 years when our first kid started there, but raised to 3 shortly afterwards.
