Claremont Country Club - what do they spray on the golf course?
Am guessing many people read the study about proximity to golf courses and potential Parkinson's disease. If you didn't read it, it's worth it. I live near Claremont Country Club and even before the study wanted info on what insecticides and herbicides they spray on the golf course but my calls (for more than a year now) are never returned. Is there anyone who's a member who could ask? I just want to test to see if it has seeped into my water which must specify products to test for and EBMUD doesn't test for herbicides. Any help is much appreciated!

Perhaps the county Agriculture Department can help.
When my company used to spray herbicides for clients we had to keep a monthly log of what was sprayed any time we did so.
We had to turn in the log once a month as part of our pesticide / herbicide use license.
I realize the CCC probably does their own spraying but one would think that they have to abide by similar laws.
Call the Ag department as they were the ones that monitored this work.
I think they are in Fremont.
Did you ever find out anything? I also live near that golf club and recently became aware of this study and it’s concerning, especially for the plethora of young kids in the neighborhood. From what I can tell it’s not just about pesticides seeping into the water but also the air and soil. I reached out to the Alameda Ag department to obtain their pesticide log as well as Zac Unger’s office. Please let me know if you find anything out!
