Seeking Teen & Family Therapist – Albany/Berkeley Area
I’m looking for a therapist for my teen who is experiencing low mood, low motivation, school-related stress, and challenges with family relationships. We prefer someone local to Albany or Berkeley who offers in-person sessions and has experience working with teens and families. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We’ve had experience with two of their therapists (Daphne and Joanna) and have had wonderful experiences with both. They’re very approachable, insightful, and able to build rapport with teens and parents. If you contact the practice and let them know what challenges you’re hoping for support with, they can let you know which therapists match your needs and availability. I know Daphne sees patients in-person at her office on the Elmwood/Rockridge border.

My 16 year old daughter has been seeing Jennifer Maghsoudi for a year and really likes her. She sees her online biweekly, for the same reasons your child needs to talk to someone, and also adhd and anxiety. We have checked in with Jennifer a couple of times over the phone and her recommendations have helped our family tremendously.
