Salutations to the Berkeley Parents Network Community.

My name is Carolyn Erbele. I have been teaching private piano lessons for over thirty years. For over twelve of those years, I was the after-school piano teacher at The Academy, a small private school in Berkeley. I am transitioning to teaching at my home in Berkeley near Martin Luther Jr. Way and University Avenue in central Berkeley. I am able to go to students’ homes who live in central Berkeley.

I began piano lessons at age six and later enjoyed singing in and accompanying for school choruses all the way through high school. I also studied pipe organ. All these wonderful experiences led me to pursue music in college. I worked as a church organist and musician since age seventeen and have been teaching piano for more than thirty years.

Music lessons should be a joyful and rewarding experience. That is my main goal during every lesson I share with my students.

I am able to do FaceTime lessons if that is more convenient.
