Temescal Creek Medicine

Hello - I'd love to hear people's experiences with Dr. Franchette and others at the practice. I'm looking for a new primary care provider. I have found my current provider doesn't always take me seriously or operates under a very authoritarian medical model. I have a lot of experience in health care delivery, so I am looking for a provider who appreciates that patients should be agents and partners in their health care decisions.

I was Dr. Francjmhette's patient up until I became a Kaiser patient. She's a great listener. One of my all time favorite docs!

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Franchette. You should know that she is planning to retire soon (much to my great sadness).  I don't have much experience with the other docs in the practice but will say the front desk folks are super responsive and effective. You probably also know that they don't take insurance, but that is also something to keep in mind. When i started with Dr. Franchette I had a super high deductible insurance and I rarely went to the doctor, so It didn't matter so much about paying out of pocket. I have new insurance now, and I haven't decide whether I'll stay with them or not.

Dr Franchett is retiring in May, but I have found TCM to be very empathetic, human and responsive practice. But, they do not take most insurance, and referrals to specialists can be harder.
