This place is amazing! In addition to offering a wide variety of baby and birth related services through their different providers, they have created an awesome hub for new and expecting parents. The vibes are welcoming and the staff is knowledgeable, caring and super community-minded.

Hummingbird Island midwives (Morgan, Evaly and Mika) provided skillful, kind, and professional care during my pregnancy and daughter’s birth. I am so grateful for the way in which they held me through the intensity of birth with their grounded presence, and for the clear communication and consent used throughout the entire process.

I also enjoyed both the homebirth education and newborn care classes I took at EBBC - both provided great info and primed me for much of what was soon to come!

Lastly, the lactation and postpartum drop-in groups have been useful for learning and connecting to new parents. Laura (IBCLC) gave helpful advice in the early days of breastfeeding, and the weighted feed we did was a useful data point in the early days of learning those new skills. The Postpartum drop-in group has also been a sweet space to “talk shop” with new moms and learn from each other in a relaxed environment.

These donation based offerings (lactation drop-in clinic and postpartum drop-in) are such a service to new parents looking for easy ways to plug in to social spaces during a time of major adjustment and learning how to care for a new baby. Thank you EBBC for providing these services!

This is a wonderful space and community of providers who truly care for you during birth. Evaly and Morgan are incredible midwives who will care for you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I can’t speak highly enough of their medical and human skills and knowledge. They’re true experts and you can’t go wrong with them. The space is really thoughtfully designed to make you feel comfortable. They make everybody at ease. Would definitely recommend if you’re on your way to building or expanding your family!
