Museum Quality Painting Repair
I recently moved to the Bay Area. There was minor damage to a museum quality, historic painting, despite being packed my art museum packing specialists. Can some one recommend a knowledgeable repair source?

When I needed a painting cleaned a couple of years ago, I emailed the Oakland Museum for advice. This was their response:
"We suggest visiting the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) and using their Find A Conservator tool. When we need to hire extra conservation help for a project we only use conservators listed through the AIC. I hope this helps."
FWIW I ended up using Preservation Arts in Oakland, and am happy with the results (though no repair involved so I can't speak to that).
