Join us for a school tour during a bustling school morning. There are two of these chances left to join us before the 23-24 school year comes to a close. We welcome applicants to our Nursery programs (3, 4, or 5 days a week, ages 2y9m) and our two year kindergartens (age 4y3m through 6y), and our grades 1-8. Register to attend by going to our website.

A bit more about Waldorf Education:

There are lots of mysteries surrounding this 104 year old pedagogy which was designed to heal, restore and address a war-torn Western Europe. This education is both relevant and prescient in solving today's problems. Beyond teaching tolerance -- curiosity, understanding and appreciation for other people, cultures and languages, ways of thought and religions are built into the curriculum by 104 year old design.

Find out why we protect our natural wonderers, preserving and slowing down childhood. Learn why discovery of the world through age-appropriate, self-driven inquiry feeds a child's natural desire to explore and understand their world. Waldorf Education is experiential learning and our school must be smelled, heard and seen. Come see our small classes, our aesthetic environment, and our teachers - each one dedicated to self-development and to understanding, deeply knowing, and supporting each of their students.

  • Play-based kindergartens fully outdoors 2-3 days of the week - a social community is created in which our shared humanity is a guiding value
  • Screen-free learning until Middle School
  • In the Grades, two hour main lessons to start the day. Developmentally-delivered topics and approaches designed to engage and support the child's natural stages of growth
  • Violin, recorder, wet watercolor painting, baking, sewing, singing, Eurythmy, Spanish from First Grade
  • Teaching cursive from the Second Grade
  • Small class sizes; low or no media at home. Ample time for structured and unstructured parts of the day
  • Lots of time in nature and time spent moving the body
  • Seasonal festivals mark the turning of the year and bring our warm, inclusive community together. Strong volunteering-ethic and involvement

Each of these things plays an important role in the Waldorf educational approach.

Register for a visit now and begin your acquaintance with our warm and loving school. Learn more about us and about Waldorf Education on our website.
