Berkeley Rose Waldorf School: Admission Events Fall 2025
Berkeley Rose Waldorf School, serving preschool through 8th grade with a Waldorf curriculum, screen-free education and holistic, arts-rich learning, announces Fall admission events for those interested in a Waldorf education. What is Waldorf? What is child-centered versus child-led education? How do we make time for so much art when public schools cannot? What is a "Main Lesson," and how does learning in blocks advantage a Waldorf educated child?
All of these questions and more will be answered in our parent tours and family-welcome open houses. Fill out our inquiry form to choose a date/s to come explore our sweet campus, our programs, meet our teachers, and see our classes in session: woodwork, handwork, Spanish, math, language arts, painting, music, orchestra, and many other arts; free play and guided play in the Early Childhood programs of kindergarten and nursery, hike days, food preparation, sewing, singing, jumping rope and many other physical challenges which prepare the child for healthy intellectual learning beginning in First Grade.
Waldorf teacher and noted environmentalist Marjorie Spock said, "But what are schools for if not to make children fall so deeply in love with the world that they really want to learn about it? That is the true business of schools. And if they succeed in it, all other desirable developments follow of themselves."
