ENT recommendation for Tonsillectomy
Looking for ENT rec for a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy for a 5 year old with sleep issues. We were referred to Stanford in Emeryville but would like to widen the search for a surgeon. We have BCBS, but are open to any non-Kaiser recs. Thanks!

My daughter had the surgery at age 8 after being diagnosed with sleep apnea. We worked with Dr. Simms Edwards and it was a very good experience. We received several recommendations for her at the time.
Vanessa Erickson ENT in San Francisco is an incredible surgeon. She did our son’s adenotonsillectomy at age 2 and also his frenectomy when he was a newborn. She actually did her own child’s frenectomy as well. She’s performed surgeries on a couple of my close friends’ children and is an impeccable surgeon. She’s with Sutter / CPMC / Presidio Surgical Ctr. I’ve got a very high bar for clinicians and would vouch for her any day.
