Duck's Nest Parents - enrollment question

Hi all,

I live close to the Duck's Nest preschool on 41st - seems like a great place (also they have another location nearby says their website).

I've had a difficult time connecting with them around enrollment/waitlist. Is there a current parent that wouldn't mind chatting with me about your experience? I'd love some tips on how to connect with the school.

Thanks!

I have a kid at the 41st Ducks Nest and couldn’t be happier with the school- it’s really a magical place for little ones. They offer tours and then the opportunity to apply/enroll in December I believe. It’s best to reach out via email and phone around November to try and get a spot. There are occasionally openings mid-year too. My daughter started in January after her other preschool closed abruptly. My son will start the youngest class this year and I know there was a lot of interest and a wait list. Hope that helps! Happy to message if you have other questions.

We also had 2 kids attend the 41st St location.  After we toured, I called a few times to check on the waitlist. A spot opened up mid-year (May so end of the year, I guess) for our first child. We were so far down on the waitlist that there would not have been a spot had we waited until August, so we switched from his in-home daycare abruptly and took the spot.  Once you have one child in, the others are pretty much guaranteed a spot in following years.  It was a terrific school, don't give up - email and try to get the director's ear on the phone if you can.
