Dance instruction for adults - private or small group?

I’d love to join Cardio Dance, Zumba, Rhythm & Motion type classes and follow with more ease. I love in-person class but hard to get unobstructed view of instructor in large groups. Also Incredibly helpful each new segment can be demonstrated slowly first! Folks who know the basics can focus on arms, head, feeling etc.

Know anyone interested in teaching some in-person classes in that vein? I’m 50, fairly coordinated/fit and would love to get in the groove! Weekdays preferred,  weekends possible. Thanks!

There is a Facebook Group called No Excuse Moms Alameda. It's a great resource for free, women-led, outdoor classes (including Zumba--I can enthusiastically recommend Emily's zumba classes, held on Bay Farm Island). You didn't indicate where you live, so if Alameda isn't convenient, you might see if No Excuse Moms has a group in your location.

Hi! Check the classes at Brasarte (in Berkely, on San Pablo), it's sound like they have what you are looking for. I loved attending the 10:30am Saturday classes. https://www.brasarte.com/

There are a couple of great outdoor Zumba classes that don’t have the same issues with crowding that indoor classes do. If you want to stand in the front to see there is plenty of space. https://linktr.ee/cardiowithcarah meets at MLK middle school and bushrod park and https://www.jam4joy2020.com/schedule-1 meets at Bella vista park and MLK middle school.  I’m not sure if either would do private lessons but you could ask 😊

Angie Shin offers free zumba classes in Berkeley and Oakland, both in-person and virtual and open to the public. King and Willard locations have a stage where the instructor is elevated, so it's easy to see them. Other classes have lots of space to move around where it's easy to see the instructor. They also offer on-demand so you can practice on your own.  It's been a while since I went, but this should be current. Newsletter :
