Yellow House Playschool: Openings in play-based program

 Yellow House Playschool will have openings this summer/fall and we are scheduling private tours for parents who are interested in learning more about our program.

YHP has been in existence for more than 40 years. It started as a small home daycare for infants and toddlers, It has grown and changed over the years. What has not changed is director Jan Lozito’s commitment to creating a safe, warm, enriched setting, where children are inspired to explore, create and develop community.  We are a play-based, half-day program with a maximum of 12 children and three teachers.

We spend the majority of our time outside. We have a large covered deck which serves as our outdoor classroom. This is where we read stories, engage in art activities and sensory, manipulative and imaginary play. Our play yard is equipped with a sand box, mud kitchen, dirt/mud area, riding toys, climbing dome and combination chicken coop/play structure. Our indoor areas are well ventilated, bright and cheerful. 

A wholesome snack is provided and we provide a hot  lunch on Mondays and Thursdays. Kids bring their own on lunches on Tuesday and Wednesdays. 

Our hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8am-1pm. Two, three or four day options available. We are open year round.  Extended care negotiable. We welcome you to call or email to schedule a  tour.
