Nature Camp Counselor Internship Openings for Inspire's Call of the Wild Camps: Saturday Single-Day Camps & Fall Break Camp

Locations for openings: second Saturdays of the month in Castro Valley, Berkeley, & Oakland; fall break camp in Oakland

Does your teen love the outdoors, nature, & hiking? Is your teen looking to volunteer or intern to make education fun for elementary school age kids? Inspire Behavioral Learning is accepting applications for teen nature camp counselors to intern in Call of the Wild day camps, outdoor nature camps.

FREE educational & vocational Counselor in Training (CIT) experience for your teen to develop job skills in day camps while having fun! This unpaid internship may also be counted toward volunteer hours.

Teens in the camp intern program learn to be outstanding nature camp counselors & outdoor educators, inspiring kids ages 5-10 to connect with nature, hike, explore, read & write nature-themed works, create nature-inspired art, learn biology & environmental stewardship, learn animal rights, play games, & more!

Camp Interns: high school students in grades 9-12 & college/university undergrads majoring in biology, environmental science, education, or closely related fields. No work experience is needed. Hiking experience is required. Ideal camp interns are outgoing, friendly, adaptable, creative, fun, energetic, & dependable outdoor lovers who are eager to gain experience teaching elementary school age kids. The #1 quality is eagerness & openness to learn & develop your skill set. This internship is ideal for teens considering careers in teaching & working with children. Being vegan for animals & the environment or vegan-curious is a plus.

This is an internship, not employment. In contrast with interns, Inspire's camp employees are adults with extensive experience.
