Call of the Wild Camps are open for registration in Berkeley, Oakland, and Cupertino/Los Altos Hills June-August 2024!

Inspire's outdoor nature camps welcome young trail blazers, curious naturalists, eager readers, budding writers, and nature-inspired artists to enjoy a fun combination of learning and play 100% outdoors. In summer day camps, kids take a breath of fresh air away from screens, spark a love of nature, make new friends, and more! Our forest camps are for kids in grades K-5 to connect with nature, hike, read, write, explore, create, learn, and play!

At Inspire Behavioral Learning, we believe in learning by doing, engaging the whole child - head, heart, and body. In our Berkeley nature camp, Oakland nature camps, and Cupertino nature camp, we combine:

  • Enrichment in biology and language arts
  • Kindness for campers and animals
  • Enjoyable exercise on hikes and in play!

Locations:

  • Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley
  • Joaquin Miller Park and Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park in Oakland
  • Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve in Cupertino/Los Altos Hills

Grades and Ages: rising K-5th grade, ages 5-10

Small Groups: 8 kids with a 4:1 student: staff ratio or 10 kids with 5:1 ratio. For groups with teen interns also attending, ratios may be 3:1.

Nature Camp Activities: In 100% outdoor camps, kids enjoy hikes and nature walks, spot wild animals, visit farm animals at Tilden and Rancho, enjoy the redwoods in Oakland, explore and learn amazing animal and forest facts, play entertaining perspective-taking games, read and craft their own stories with wilderness themes, illustrate their stories, create and act in skits, nature journal, go on scavenger hunts, create nature-inspired arts and crafts, enjoy free play and nature-themed field games, deepen their sense of wonder for nature, become eco-conscious, eat healthy food, develop executive functioning skills to become hike leaders, strengthen stamina, make friendships, and more!

Theme weeks some sessions are Enchanted Forest Art, Enchanted Forest Reading, Enchanted Forest Writing, and Enchanted Vegan Nature. In theme weeks, kids still enjoy a mix of all our camp activities but with more time spent on the given theme for you to select what your kids and family love best!
