Casa Silvestre is a small in-home daycare with a 1 provider to 3 children ratio. We currently have three very social toddlers from 12-15 months and are looking to add one more. Additionally there's a 3 year old and a 5 year old that participate in their own program, and have their own care taker. We are looking to add another toddler to the mix.

I am Diana, manager and owner, and together with Camila and Santiago, we care for the children with love in the best way we can. Our focus is on keeping children's stress levels low to protect the development of their nervous system. Children receive high quality food home made with mostly organic ingredients in a family meal setting. We provide a dedicated nap room ensuring children get the rest they need to grown and achieve their developmental milestones. Kids have multiple spaces to explore, including a shaded backyard with sensory play stations and garden. Our Spanish immersion program envelops children in language through songs and stories in our daily story time.

What parents have to say about us:

Sophia K:

Our daughter has been attending Casa Silvestre since she was 4 months old, and we have been thrilled with the care she has received. They have been instrumental in guiding us through the early stages of new parenthood, offering practical advice (for example about baby-led weaning) and making the transition to daycare a smooth experience for our family. We’ve been delighted to see our daughter consistently meeting her developmental milestones, and a large part of this success comes from the nurturing environment Diana, Santi, and Camila provide. Every morning, our daughter is eager to come inside and play with her friends, and it’s clear from her smiles that she enjoys the time spent there. The facility is clean and well-kept, ensuring a safe and engaging space for children to play and learn. They have been a godsend with offering flexible scheduling for our family's challenging work schedule, helping us manage our busy routine without worry. Their warm and caring personalities shines through in all their interactions with the kids, and we’re grateful for the trust and confidence we have in leaving our daughter in their care. We would happily recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable and supportive daycare provider.

Karah L:

When we first met Diana our daughter was four months old and I was nervous about leaving my baby with a stranger. Diana graciously accommodated us by spending the first few visits at our house where she earned our daughter’s trust. Soon after I toured Casa Silvestre and was reassured by the thoughtfulness of the space: it felt safe, clean, and welcoming for young children. Fast forward a year and my daughter reaches out to hug her teachers at Casa Silvestre when it’s time to leave. She lights up when she sees her friends and returns home well fed, diapered, and loved. Diana is a very good communicator and has been very patient during scheduling snafus or changes. She is able to share how our child is doing from day to day and when a sleep challenge arose offered helpful insights and encouragement when we requested support. I am so grateful to feel so comfortable with Poppy’s childcare arrangement and would highly recommend it.
