Why BPN limits postings in Announcements & Events
The Announcements newsletter is intended to be a list of new offerings for parents to browse each week. We aim to keep it concise so it's easy for busy parents to scan. To keep the list short and fresh, we limit the frequency that any one program can post. Overexposure is not in the best interests of your program. When parents see the same school or business appearing in the listing week after week, they are unlikely to take the time to click the link and read your newest post - they will assume they have already read it.
Events
You can have up to 3 future events published at a time. Events remain published on the website until the event's date has passed. If there are more than 3 events that you want to post about, such as tours during Admissions season that repeat weekly, please post three events and hold future events until a previous one has expired. Your approved events are posted immediately in BPN's event calendar and also on your profile page, so post as far in advance as you like. The weekly Announcements newsletter includes events coming up in the next 7-10 days.
Note: If you are posting about a recurring event, such as a tour that is offered every Saturday, please instead post it as an Announcement in the "Openings" section. You can include information about your weekly tours in the announcement.
Announcements
You can have one published announcement at a time. Once approved, announcements are published on the website for 30 days in the listing that you picked, such as 'Preschools with Openings', as well as on your profile page. After 30 days, your post expires and you can post again. The weekly Announcements newsletter includes only new announcements received during the previous week.
If you offer activities in more than one category (Announcement Type), then you can have two active posts in the same 30-day period. For example, a tutor center that offers individual tutoring as well as a summer camp can have two active posts: one in the listing 'Kids' Classes, Groups, Teams & Tutors' and one in the listing for 'Summer & Holiday Camps Now Enrolling'.
How to tell whether your post is published
Check your profile page. It displays all of your announcements and events that are currently published.
