Writing Coaching for Med School Essays

Although the med school personal statement is an awkward genre, it accomplishes something very critical: it makes the candidate look like a real person, rather than simply a list of impressive achievements. Most med school personal statements look more or less the same, no matter how well written they are; often, they neither help nor hurt the candidate's application. I am a professor of English literature and a very experienced writing teacher. I have a casual and straightforward personal style, and I am very committed to helping people telling their own stories on the page. I offer a 20-minute free introductory meeting during which we can get to know each other. $30 for written feedback (500-word statement)

$20 for a 20-minute video meeting
