Voice lessons

Voice

Singing doesn’t have to feel impossibly difficult, or painful, or embarrassing, or like something you should hide from the people you love.

And speaking doesn’t have to feel scratchy, exhausting, breathless, or forced.

You can sound and feel better – even in stressful situations – you just need to know how.

When singing and speaking don’t feel fantastic, it’s usually because we’re not using the body as well as we might. Some parts are too tense while others are too relaxed, maybe our breathing feels completely random and uncontrolled… the list can go on.The important thing to remember is that using the body well is a skill, not a talent.

Thankfully, how to use your body well is something you can learn (this is where I come in).

My job as a voice teacher is to help you make the best sound you can, in the healthiest way possible, with the greatest amount of ease.

I’m currently teaching both online and in-person (North Berkeley). As of January 2024, my weekly after-school slots are full.

There's lots of free help available at mvmusik.com and on my podcast, Can’t Wait to Hear You
