Hello, Bay Area Parents! My name is Susannah, and I'm available to virtually tutor your student in writing, grammar, reading comprehension, college app materials, and mathematics (k-6). I have taught in classrooms and one-on-one tutoring settings for ten years and have coached other teachers and school administrators in my last two positions. I believe that a joyful, active, and personalized learning environment fosters confidence and lifelong communication skills. My hope is to create a one-of-a-kind learning experience for every student, preparing them for the rigors of college and beyond. Please see my bio below!

Bio: In addition to teaching as a private learning consultant and classroom teacher, Susannah has worked as a university Writing Center Director, Language Arts Dept. Director, and Regional Director at an education technology company. Susannah received her MFA from Colorado State University in 2020, where she was awarded the 2019 Academy of American Poets Prize and earned her BA in English from Knox College in 2015, where she received the Davenport Poetry Prize. In her writing life, Susannah is the author of WHERE THE LIGHT FEEDS (GASHER Press, '23), and her work has appeared in Seneca Review, Colorado Review, Black Warrior Review, Mid-American Review, Missouri Review, Puerto del Sol, DIAGRAM, The Journal, Ruminate, and elsewhere.
