Violin, Viola, and Fiddle Lessons for all-ages!
My name is Carson McHaney and I am violin, viola, and fiddle instructor as well as a recent graduate from Oberlin College and Conservatory. I have been teaching music lessons since 2011 and have taught introductory classes at elementary schools, private lessons with students ranging from the age of 5 to adults, and have coached chamber music groups and given orchestra sectionals. I have a deep passion for all kinds of music whether it is Bach, Klezmer, or traditional old-time tunes and I am especially interested in fostering a love and enthusiasm for playing music in each of my students! While I focus on all aspects of playing the violin/viola (technique, intonation, musicality, etc) in my teaching, my first priority is that my students feel comfortable, relaxed, and happy!
I would love to work with students of any level and age and am now accepting new students. Currently, due to the COVID-19 and SIP order, I’m offering virtual lessons with discounted and flexible rates and I would be happy to arrange for in-home lessons once it is safe.
Please feel free to write me an email or text with any questions you have about my experience or teaching.
Thank you very much for your consideration and I can’t wait to hear from you!
