Supportive, Affordable Tutoring in Math, Science, and Language Arts

I offer tutoring in math, science, and language arts to students age 10+. I have been tutoring since I was a college student, and I have a lifelong passion for education. I have a degree in mechanical engineering with a math minor, and I have worked as both a mechanical engineer and a software engineer for the last 15 years.

I approach each student as a whole person with their own path to understanding. It is my job as a tutor to describe the material in ways that connect with my students. In my experience, academic performance is a combination of technical understanding, and comfort and confidence with your own problem solving approach.

I am most excited to help students develop strong conceptual understanding of technical topics, but I realize that we also live in a world of high stakes testing. Test taking is its own skill set, and I’m happy to help students improve their approach to testing.

I offer hourly rates for 1:1 tutoring, and also a rate for small groups (4 students maximum). I can come to you, or meet your student at a library or other quiet public space.
