Spanish Tutor, K-12, Academic and Conversational Emphasis

Hola!

My name is Ian and I tutor Spanish grades K-12, with an emphasis on Middle School and early High School (all ages welcome). Most students develop the belief early on whether or not they are good with languages, so I love helping students in feeling confident and building a growth mindset with Spanish. I also believe that conversational skills are critical to making language learning fun, and to feel like one's own.  

Experience:

- Former Spanish Teacher at Prospect Sierra (5th-8th grade). Taught advanced Spanish to 8th graders and helped some students get into High School Spanish 2 and 3 

- BA in Spanish (Occidental College)

- 7 years working in bilingual work environments. 3 years living abroad.

- 4 years working with students K-12

I can meet online, at a coffee shop, etc. I also work with adults working to improve their conversational fluency and confidence. My rate is $80/hour.
