Reading/Writing Expert Tutor, Experienced Credentialed Teacher

Improve reading and writing skills, fluency, and comprehension through 1:1 guidance with a highly experienced, passionate educator. I will help your student create and meet goals while building the confidence and joy that every child deserves around learning.  I am a credentialed, full-time Berkeley public school teacher with 25 years experience working with students of all backgrounds. I consistently bring students to grade level and beyond while nurturing self-esteem.

I have two teaching credentials!  The first is for teaching in self-contained classrooms through 6th grade.  The second is for English Language Arts in middle and high school.

I love teaching and have been working with children through the changing landscape of education for nearly three decades - in classrooms, small groups, and 1:1. I will help your child make personal connections with reading and/or writing and meet her/his/their potential.

My rate for coming to your home for tutoring is $115/hour or $58/half hour.  If you would like to come to my home in Albany, the rate is $105/hour or $53/half hour.  Most clients prefer once a week, one hour sessions, but I am open to the individual needs of each person.  Let me know what works best for your family.
