Reading, Writing and Literacy Coaching for Your Exceptional Student!

Greetings! My name is Trevor McBride, and I am a 27 year old teacher who has a passion for working with students and helping them realize their potential!

I work extensively with 1-8th grade students as a full time teacher at Big Minds Unschool working with twice exceptional kids, which has made me extremely adaptable to any students needs. I have also tutored high school and college age students for 7 years. My tutoring style is focused on adaptability, patience and most importantly meeting the student where they are at. So often kids are made to feel inadequate or unintelligent when they are struggling, when the reality is that all people learn differently and need to be understood and approached as such.

For elementary age students, I can offer any help from the basics of reading and writing to spelling and grammar practice. For older students, I can offer essay help, critical thinking practice, reading comprehension tutoring, college essay prep, and just about any unique challenge your student faces.

-Bachelors degree in philosophy, which I have tutored before!

-12 years of creative writing/editing
