Private In-Home or Virtual Clarinet Lessons

My name is Hazel Shoemaker, and I am a rising sophomore at Tulane University in New Orleans majoring in Public Health. I have played clarinet for 10 years and taught lessons to elementary and middle school-aged students for three years. 

When taking on a new student, I observe learning styles as well as the student's strengths and weaknesses in order to tailor an individualized learning plan and repertoire. I can help students master their band or orchestral music, as well as recommend solo pieces. As a college student, my lessons, while rigorous, provide a relaxed environment for students to learn and grow as musicians without unnecessary pressure.

During the COVID pandemic, I am available to teach lessons outdoors (backyard, etc.) at the student's house, or via zoom.
