Passionate and Experienced Private Tutor

Hello! I am a fourth year mathematics student at UC Berkeley with five years of private tutoring experience, two years of remote tutoring experience, three years of volunteer work in high school classrooms, and academic exposure to educational and pedagogical theory and research. Currently I work virtually with a third grader, sixth grader, and two high school seniors and have tutored all K-12 levels of mathematics, language arts, writing, and high school chemistry. At all levels I focus on strengthening their intuitive and practical grasps on the essential skills of the class by developing their analytic and problem solving abilities. My emphasis is on cultivating understanding and shifting away from memorization by assessing their learning styles, existing obstacles, and tailoring my tutoring to meet them where they are.
