About Me:

My name is Morgan, and I have been tutoring high school and college students for seven years. I have a B.A. in Astrophysics from Princeton University and a Masters in Physics from UC Berkeley. My teaching experience includes working as a Graduate Student Instructor in Physics at UCB, as well as tutoring college and high school students in physics and math.

 Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that all students have the capacity to learn math and physics, and that it is important to meet them wherever they are at in their learning process. Many students have had negative experiences with math, and I believe that it is essential to acknowledge that past so they can be open to new, positive experiences and build confidence in their abilities.

 Logistics:

I typically meet with students once a week for an hour, and we can always adapt the length or frequency as you prefer. I can meet either in person or online (though I will add that I find in-person tutoring to be most effective). I am located in Berkeley and can meet students either at a local cafe, library, or their home.

Testimony from former students:

  • Super smart, helpful, excellent communicator and such a quirky sense of humor which makes learning the material fun
  • Knowledgeable, patient, reasonable expectations, approachable and kind
  • Genuinely loves teaching and is extremely good at it too
