Longtime professional tutor offering test preparation and academic support
Hi parents and students,
For the better part of 14 years now I have been tutoring junior high and high school students in multiple subjects and
preparing them for the most common entrance exams such as the SAT, ACT and SSAT.
I teach all levels of math, science, English/writing, Spanish and
SAT/ACT/ISEE/SSAT/HSPT/GRE exams.
I work primarily with private students but have found small group scenarios quite workable for students of similar levels who are preparing for academic or standardized exams.
I style my test prep programs to the specific needs of my students, so efficiency and score gains are maximized. And while I don't de-emphasize the importance of the exams, I
try to impart a sense of perspective and humor into the
sessions.
Although I live in Berkeley, I work in many regions of the Bay Area, San Francisco included.
I also offer online tutoring via Skype or other web-based platform for those students at too great a distance or for those who find online tutoring more convenient.
Rates typically run about $80/hour.
Group sessions are cheaper per student. I generally meet in students' homes, cafes/libraries or work with students online.
