Hi families! My name is Maryann, and I’m a certified elementary teacher with 10 years of classroom experience in the East Bay. I specialize in reading and writing intervention using structured literacy methods, including SIPPS and Orton-Gillingham, and have helped dozens of students (including those with IEPs and dyslexia) make significant academic gains.

I’m offering 1:1 tutoring for K–5 students focusing on:

• Phonics & decoding
• Reading fluency & comprehension
• Writing development & grammar
• Support for struggling readers and early intervention
• Support with IEP goals

Sessions are personalized and grounded in research-based practices. I begin with an assessment to identify learning goals and tailor instruction. I am able to meet in person at students' homes or at a local library and require a minimum of 2 sessions per week to ensure consistency and progress.

Rates:

• $80 for 45 minutes
• $90 for 60 minutes
