Enthusiastic and patient UC Berkeley math and science tutor

Homework Coaching, Organizational & Study Skills, All Subjects K-5, Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Geometry, Math K-8

Hello! I am a senior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Environmental Biology and Marine Science. I have experience tutoring math at various levels, from elementary school math (1-on-1 individual tutoring) to college calculus (Santa Rosa Junior College student tutor and independent tutoring). I have also worked with students in biology and chemistry and have taken many advanced courses in those topics at UCB (gen chem, organic chemistry3a/3b, biology1a/1b, biochem, genetics, bio stats, etc.). I am an enthusiastic, patient, and approachable teacher who wants to provide students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of these important subjects. As a long-time student, I believe it is really important for everyone to have a space to ask questions, test their understanding, build confidence, and sharpen their problem-solving skills. I hope to continue to provide this to students during an unprecedented academic school year.

I am hoping to take on a few more students via remote Zoom, however I am also open to in person, distanced help (near UCB). Whether your student needs help with a particular subject or wants someone to act as a sounding board as they work through homework problems, I’m here to make learning easier and fun! I charge between $25-40 depending on the subject and type of tutoring. Please feel free to reach out if this sounds like a good fit!
