Hello everyone! I hope you and your families are doing OK in this stressful time. My name is Trenton Owens, I am a researcher here at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and I am preparing for a phD program in biology.

I am offering my services as an academic and college prep tutor to motivated students who want to see their confidence and performance improve in math, science, writing, and Spanish. I also offer college admission test and application prep. Show some confidence in the quantitative world, follow it up with persuasive writing, and colleges will be BEGGING for you. 

I have tutored Bay Area students for almost 10 years, focusing on high schoolers who are preparing for college. In the world of distance learning, the most successful students are the ones who can take learning into their own hands: identifying the most essential concepts and applying them to the real world for long-term retention. This is also an essential skill for college success, and serves as the backbone of my tutoring philosophy and method. 

Tutoring sessions are ACTIVE and ENGAGED, with students participating verbally as I draw up problems and prepare study materials within the session.
