Viva La Musica Music and Puppet Show summer camp is presenting The Magic Flute by Mozart.
Ages 7-12. Not only for musicians. Small group up to 6 children.
June 13-24, two weeks

How do ancient Egypt, and alchemy connect with Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute? We will be exploring these questions, making puppets and set designs, as well as singing some of the easier arias. We will create a storyline based on elements of the opera and the magical puppet show begins!

Camp Mozart, Magic Flute Puppet Show
My child had a wonderful time at the Camp Mozart, Magic Flute, Puppet Show in Albany last year. This camp has everything you can wish for: music, arts and crafts, and performance. And the small groups made my son really feel at home. After the first day he came home humming the song of Papageno. He also made his own Papageno puppet that he loves dearly. And the performance? The puppet show was very sweet and very well done. Agnes, the director of the camp,taught only songs from the opera that were appropriate for kids. With the kids she made up an interesting story using elements of the opera. I can highly recommend this camp.
