  • I'm starting to consider a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy because I'm at somewhat higher risk for ovarian cancer. I'd like to hear from anyone who's had it done what your experience was like, how the recovery was, whether you did hormone replacement therapy, and what long-term effects you've experienced. Thank you.

I have insight into this, and would be happy to share.  Message me.

I had this done in 2013 because I have the BRAC 2 gene. Surgical recovery was a snap... it's getting the hormones under control, and that's a bit of a rocky road, in my experience.  If you'd like to email me, please contact the moderator for my info, I'd be happy to talk.
