Window replacement advice — Berkeley/Richmond

Hi all,

Looking to replace windows in Berkeley (or nearby Richmond) and trying to decide both window type and company/installer. I’m on a budget but don’t want to end up with seals or locks failing in a few years.

I’m considering Simonton Daylight Max vs Milgard Tuscany 400, and have quotes from a few companies as well as local installers.

Has anyone gone through this recently? Any advice on which window brand holds up best or which window installation company is best without breaking the bank?
