Recent feedback on Longfellow Middle School

We are considering applying for Longfellow Middle School in Berkeley, and wondering what recent experiences have been for parents both academically and socially.  In addition, would appreciate any feedback on the afterschool program (have heard mixed things about Willard's, and not sure if that's common for middle school).
