Dr. Neil Stollman is an outstanding gastroenterologist. His clinic is in the Rotunda Building by Oakland City Hall.

Dr. Stollman saved my life ten years ago. He is so approachable, compassionate, and kind that it is not unpleasant to see him for the things that one sees GEs for.

You can read the various reviews on yelp dot com and similar sites. The smoothness of the front office waxes and wanes, but I'd trade that any day for a doctor as good as Neil Stollman.

He is an academic expert in things like Barrett's esophagus, FTT, and liver issues, but he does a lot of routine colonoscopies.

In the fall of 2020, I was having digestive issues and was referred to Susie Cohn, MD at the East Bay Center for Digestive Health in Oakland ((510) 444-3297). It being the pandemic, my office visits were remote. However, I did go into their outpatient surgery center for my colonoscopy. Susie was very knowledgeable, took my concerns seriously, had a wonderful bedside manner. The colonoscopy was painless and she followed up afterwards to see how I was doing. I would go to her again in a heartbeat!
