John Muir Health insurance or PPO

Hi. I am reaching out because I recently got a job offer at John Muir Health which would mean that I would have to leave Kaiser for my family's health coverage. We have had Kaiser for many years and our son was born at Kaiser SF. We are going to miss it. 

The options provided as a JMH employee would be going with John Muir Health or a PPO ($1000 or $500 deductible). I have heard that John Muir Health provides great health care but it would be a challenge for my family to travel to John Muir for annual physicals and other health related matters because we live in San Leandro. My wife doesn't drive far distances so if I am not available to go take her or my son, it would have to be when I have a day off/weekends. 

If anyone can give advice, whether it would be best to go with a PPO or perhaps consider JMH. Thanks!
