Haas MBA Dad Seeking Weekend Housing & Community in Berkeley!

Hello Berkeley Parents Network,

I'm Kaz and excited to be joining the Haas Weekend MBA program this August! We live in the South Bay, and our wonderful daughter just turned one. While we love our current life, including her fantastic pediatrician, I'll be trying to commute from the South Bay for now.

Since my classes are on weekends, I'm looking for a unique housing arrangement in Berkeley. We only need a place to stay over the weekends, ideally something shared or with a minimum price to help us manage costs. I know this might be a long shot, but I believe it never hurts to ask!

My ideal situation would be finding "weekend grandparents" in Berkeley who would enjoy spending quality time with our daughter while I'm in class. We're open to various ideas, from a shared family home to a converted space, or anything in between, as long as it's a safe and comfortable environment for our family during the program.

We're also eager to connect with other families in the BPN community, especially those with young children or those who might have navigated a similar situation.

Any advice, insights, or even potential leads on weekend-only housing or, dare I hope, "weekend grandparent" opportunities would be incredibly helpful. We're really looking forward to becoming a part of the Berkeley community!
