Hello - my parents have come for a few months to help with our newborn. Does anyone have a recommendation for a gym or rec center that they can go to for workouts near Temescal?

If they are seniors, Emeryville has a very active group of senior classes, and a nice pool. Studio 1 has some arts and exercise classes, and the Temescal pool is there as well.
There is also the Berkeley Y in downtown Berkeley, and the Oakland Y on Broadway around 25th.
