Financial planner fee-only

I read through past posts but many were pre Covid and recommendations no longer available. Looking for a fee-only financial advisor, ideally someone with college expertise - we saw someone in Oakland a decade ago who created a great plan but is no longer available. With college on the horizon soon, plus retirement ten years away, looking for someone who can review our current assets and plan to see if we’re still on the right track. Napfa.org has a great website but still too many choices.  Many thanks.

RE: Financial planner fee-only ()

I have worked with Shane for the past few years. He's fee only and really great at being collaborative. He's helped me with setting up our daughters ROTH, a couple of job transitions and purchasing a new house. He also does content for the Personal Finance Club. I've worked with 5 or so in my life, and he's by far the best.

Per BPN recommendations, I recently worked with Eileen Loustau CFP at Asti Financial Mgt, on exactly the scenario you described.  I very much liked her down to earth, friendly, accessible and knowledgeable approach.  I highly recommend.
