Our son (now three) started at Guidepost when he was 2. We were actually only there for ~4 months because we then got into another Montessori preschool that was closer to home and originally our first choice. We were in the non-immersion (English speaking) classroom. Our experience with the teachers/guides was very positive - they demonstrated a lot of care, and we believe the school navigated the pandemic as best they could and were very reasonable. And relative to our current school, we love that Guidepost doesn't have breaks or days off throughout the year... that consistency is really helpful as working parents and is perhaps the biggest pain point we have currently. We also liked that we got very regular photos and updates.

But on a relative basis, the work stations and activities at our current preschool exceed what our child experienced at Guidepost (e.g. the kids get to bake/cook every day, themes change regularly, much larger outdoor space with more hands-on guide led activities). Also, Guidepost is the most expensive preschool tuition I have seen in all of the East Bay... (can be partly justified given no school closures). On the plus, we liked that there is no commitment really, just a 30 day notice to withdraw your kid - vs our current school, you are committed for the full year (and can take out insurance to recoup some of the tuition fees, but not all, should you leave early) - so Guidepost was a great option for us to start while we were awaiting openings elsewhere.
