BHS Home Hospital Instruction

My 10th grader at Berkeley High was seriously injured and can't attend school in person. He's been out 2 wks. He could do HHI (Home & Hospital Instruction). I would like to hear from other parents whose children did this.

A couple questions I have:

1)What happens with the electives that aren't part of HHI (in our case Spanish and AP Computer Science)? He's fully able to follow along in these classes remotely, but I am told he will be required to unenroll in them if he participates in HHI.

2)Would he be forced off his elective Google Classrooms so that he is not even able to follow along by himself if he wants to? He's worked too hard in these classes to throw them away now.

3)If he chooses to not do HHI and just try to keep up with his classes independently and remotely, do any parents have experience with this choice?

It's not clear when he will be able to walk again; could be in the next few days or as long as 4 weeks more.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
